Beekeeping in the Texas Hill Country

Hive Leases

Four bee hives set in a row with hills in the background. Are you looking for honeybees for your property?  We lease honeybee colonies for Ag valuation or pollination in Bandera and Kendall counties.  With our full-service hive leases, we provide the bees and do the work to maintain them.  Already have bees and just need some help.  We also do consultations.  Contact Us to learn more.

From Our Bees to You

When you buy our honey at R&T Bee Ranch, you are buying directly from a Texas Hill Country beekeeper.  We know the bees that the honey comes from.  Their wellbeing is our top priority.  We love to see healthy, thriving bees.  Our bees stay in one location all year in small groups of two to six hives.  Each location is harvested separately in small batches that showcase the flavors from the plants in the Hill Country community.  We only harvest honey if the bees are able to make a surplus beyond what they need.  For the Bandera and Kendall County area, this often means that we leave more honey with the bees than we harvest.  And sometimes it means no harvest at all.  We think it’s worth it and that our bees make the best honey around.

Spring/Summer 2026 Harvest is Now Available!

Our 2026 Texas Hill Country honey is now available!  We’ll be at the Farmers Market at Herff Farm in Boerne on the first and third Saturdays of the month from August to December.  New for 2026, we’ll also be at the Lakehills Artisan Village and Produce on the second Saturdays of the month from July through December.  We also deliver to Boerne, Fair Oaks, Pipe Creek, Bandera, Helotes, and the surrounding areas.

Our Story

R&T Bee Ranch beekeeper working bees.We are Randy and Tara Randle of R&T Bee Ranch, LLC located in Bandera County.  Our interest in homesteading led us to consider beekeeping.  In 2019, we bought our first two hives.  Once we started working with the bees, we were fascinated with how the hives worked and we were hooked.
